"Passion isn't a disease"--L'Impératrice's PULSAR gives us freedom in dancing

Passion isn’t a disease Don’t go down on your knees L'Impératrice – Pulsar– microqlima – disco, french house, electro-pop When I think of modern disco, really authentic sounding disco, I think of L’Impératrice. After hearing “Agitations tropicales” (aka me), I was rewarded in 2024 with the release of their albumPulsar. The album starts off with “Cosmogonie”–a mostly instrumental funky track. I find “Me Da Igual” is getting me to the dance floor, but despite the Spanish name and other French bands experiment with all Spanish-albums, “Me Da Igual” is mostly in French, but interceding with “me da igual”--spanish for whatever–in its chorus. Love from the other side is probably the most “romantic” with synths serenading us. Out of all the songs, the one that I always end up playing on repeat is “Danza Marilú” which features artist Fabiana Martone–Naple Artists I will now be obsessed with–because it really is a dancing song, whether you are Marilú or not. “Any W
