The Open Door

sorry everyone it has been a while...kicking off the dust with a local seattle artist.   The Open Door-Eric David Wallace (self-release) (Seattle) Alt/ Pop/ Electronic-Pop  In a beautiful electronic and moody debut EP, Eric David Wallace (EDW) creates songs one could describe as “Depeche Mode meet Tears for Fears” and this is the type of sound I didn’t know I needed. It fuses melodic synths with lyrics contemplating love. “First Time” is almost an acoustic experimental, making it a stand out in this EP, while tracks “You Came” brings me back to Tears for Fears, a romantic number with drums and synths. It’s a great debut for lovers of moody alt pop love songs.  Recommended Tracks: 2,3,5  RIYL: Glass Animals, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, The Human League, Duran, Duran Listen here: or  here
