Alice Phoebe Lou's "Shelter"
I am re-listening to Alice Phoebe Lou's Shelter (2023) because even though I listened to it earlier this year, I forgot to write down my thoughts. First time I stumbled onto Alice Phoebe Lou was her song "Witches", a magical, enchanting, spell-binding song...sorry, it's actually just really good. The song tickles me in such a beautiful way and that magic is seen in Shelter. Lou is a crooner, a skill she showcases in songs like "Angel", "Open My Door", and "Lately." "I get the hammock you play the music" -"Hammer" Shelter is an intimate and powerful experience.
